Maltex has been Faraday’s home since 2015. The building has incredible character – brick walls, old wood floors, and high ceilings that cultivate an innovative spirit. And the location is unparalleled: right in the thick of things on Pine Street and with a parking lot that always has space for you to boot.

Mascoma Bank Is a certified B-Corp Bank striving to be a force for positive change, creating benefit for all. Knowing that people and place matter we came to Burlington to open branches in the underbanked areas. We found that on Pine Street in the south end and North Winooski Ave in the north end there was a lack of access to financial institutions. Mascoma Bank choose the Maltex building not only for its convenient location and large access to parking but for the interesting architecture and the buildings rich history. The location is large enough for Mascoma Bank to offer full branch services with 2 ATMs for convenience. One ATM on Pine Street and the second at the rear of the building that is handicap accessible. The Branch also has 3 conference room spaces that are available for the community to utilize at no charge.
The Center for Women & Enterprise
The Center for Women & Enterprise has greatly enjoyed our time in the Maltex Building. As the Women’s Business Center for the State of Vermont, it is important to us to have a welcoming and accessible space for our clients. Our space has a private office, a classroom, and a small patio which gives us the flexibility to meet with clients and run workshops all within our space. The public spaces are kept shiny clean and we love the rotating art installations! It’s great to be able to pop down the street for coffee or lunch during the day and onsite
parking is a huge plus!
The Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) is an economic empowerment organization whose mission is to strengthen communities and the economy by supporting women to launch and successfully sustain businesses. The CWE VT office is the home to Vermont’s Women’s Business Center and a satellite of the Veteran’s Business Outreach Center of New England. Through entrepreneurship workshops, courses, & individual business counseling, we get small business owners the information they need to thrive in their business.
