Over the course of the past year, there has been significant investment and renovations to the historic Maltex Building on Pine Street, increasing its innate beauty and visibility as a landmark property in the South End, as well as improving energy efficiency substantially. This marks the 25th anniversary of the original renovations to the building completed in 1985 and is cause for celebration.

The Maltex Building is also extremely pleased to have the opportunity to sponsor the South End Art Hop for 2010.  It is a great honor to have been chosen as the focal point for the Art Hop weekend events, and we look forward to celebrating the great work of our local arts community, as well as providing a first-hand opportunity to share in the changes to the building. 

Please join us for a kick-off event Friday, September 10th at 7pm, where we will celebrate the grand opening of the Art Hop festivities, as well as the re-dedication of the Maltex Building, with a two-hour swing and big band concert by the Vermont Jazz Ensemble.

It will be a great evening, and a celebration of the fact that art is good for business, and business is good for art!
